A car perfume assumes the cabin is already clean and adds a scent you chose, at a level you barely notice until you step in. The formats are different: glass bottles that hang from the mirror and evaporate through a wooden cap, ceramic inserts in a metal clip, or a small diffuser that mists a fine fragrance on a schedule. The fragrance itself is closer to perfumery than to household cleaning: top, heart and base notes, a proper dry down, and usually an ingredient list you can read.
